Hello my fellow Victorians! I hope everyone has had a good term! School’s almost out and the Christmas vacation awaits us!

As you would already be aware, VinE held our Annual General Meeting this afternoon, during which time the 6th Executive Committee was elected. It is my great pleasure in presenting to you the new executive committee for 2011/2012:

President: Wayne Teo Yong Hoe
Vice President: Jarren Loe
Secretary: Daniel Ong
Treasurer: Lynette Lim
Creative Director(Publicity): Phua Hsuan Te
Events Officer: Benjamin Neo and Desiree Celeste Sim

The positions of Creative Director (Web) and Liaison Officer are still open.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for working with us over the past year. We hope you had as much fun at our events as we did in planning for them. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the 5th Committee for all their hard work over the past year. On behalf of everyone, I’d like to wish Wayne and his team a wonderful and meaningful term ahead! Nil Sine Labore!

Survey on Overseas Studies

My name is Adimulya, from class of 11S43. My Project Work group is making a checklist to identify the risk factors of studying overseas. Our purpose is to help current VJC students make an informed decision on whether to study overseas.

We are actually conducting a survey for VJC alumni overseas, asking
about experiences. Hopefully we can get 50 replies or more. We would
be very grateful if you can spend some time doing this survey.

Would you mind sending the link to other Victorians who are studying
or have studied in Europe?
This is the survey link : http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/R2S9GDQ

Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
Adimulya Kartiyasa

The Imperial College Singapore Society is once again organising UKBound!

UKBound 2011: Lavish is an event which aims to bring together students headed off to the United Kingdom for further studies, for a night of socialising and mingling.

This year, we’re going to have a beauty pageant, talent showcases, and crowd games, with prizes, drinks, and so much more. The crowning of this year’s UKBound King and Queen will be by majority vote, so come on down to support your school representatives!

Tickets are available at SGD20 for an event-only ticket. They will cost SGD25 at the door, respectively, so be sure to get your tickets early on! Please contact us for tickets or more information. All tickets come with 1 free drink, and loose drinks are 1-for-1 throughout the event.

All students are welcome, not just those heading off to the UK, so be sure to invite your friends down to join in the glamour and fun!
